In the early 2000s, John Deere & Co, the U.S.–based global agricultural machinery manufacturer, entered into a joint venture with Hattat Group to produce tractors locally in Turkey. The joint company, John Deere Hattat, was established to manufacture tractors and to distribute John Deere agricultural equipment in the Turkish market. As part of this partnership, a factory was planned in Çerkezköy (west of Istanbul) for the production of these tractors.

The investment included the establishment of a tractors manufacturing plant in Çerkezköy, at around USD 55–60 million in value, to produce and supply tractors domestically and support a wider dealer and components network through this facility.

However, the joint venture was dissolved and the Çerkezköy factory, fully built by Hattat, remained under Hattat’s ownership.

Nestled in the heart of the Çerkezköy Organized Industrial Zone, the Hattat Tractor production facility stands as a flagship of Turkish advanced manufacturing and agricultural engineering excellence

The factory benefits from excellent connectivity within Turkey’s Marmara Region, offering proximity to major ports, highways, and logistics hubs — ideal for both domestic distribution and international exports to over 85 countries.

Whether viewed as a cornerstone of Turkey’s domestic tractor industry or as a scalable export-oriented manufacturing base, this facility delivers both architectural functionality and outstanding real estate value
