'Led the fast-tracked, in-operation transformation of Swissotel The Bosphorus event spaces into a luxury, high-performance venue, distinguished by astonishing details, advanced technology, and strong commercial impact.'

The hotel underwent a major renovation to upgrade its meeting rooms and ballroom to cutting edge spaces. Event spaces are continuously refurbished in cycles to stay competitive in MICE market. Investment was capex-driven operational upgrades and the goal was to increase average daily rate, event revenue and competitiveness.

Swissotel the Bosphorous, a destination where flexibility meets precision craftsmanship. From grand ballrooms to intimate meeting rooms and terraces, every space was elevated through careful attention to finishing details, advanced technology, and carefully curated design. Delivered within a compressed timeline while the hotel remained fully operational, the project required strategic phasing and exceptional coordination amid pandemic constraints which created significant challenges in global material supply and among market volatility.

The project scope covered the renovation and fit-out of meeting rooms, ballrooms, foyers, entrances, terraces, circulation areas, balconies, pantry areas, back-of-house (BOH) spaces, electrical and mechanical rooms, escalators, as well as kitchens, service areas, and the full furniture package.

This comprehensive upgrade also included the BOH and MEP infrastructure supporting these large-scale event spaces.

Security and circulation were critical design drivers in this luxury environment. Door systems were integrated with master key and fire safety requirements, ensuring both operational efficiency and compliance.

Despite logistical constraints and a nearly 30% devaluation of the Turkish Lira, the project was delivered at only 10% above the initial budget. The outcome proved commercially successful: enhanced functionality, upgraded technology, improved lighting, and more flexible layouts significantly increased the usability and attractiveness of the event spaces. As a result, the investor was able to recover a substantial portion of the investment through the rental performance of the main gathering areas, aligned with the hotel’s broader repositioning.
